$3,500 Donation Made to Provincetown Council on Aging
Real Life Experience, Inc., the organization behind the annual Fantasia Fair conference, announced a recent $3,500 donation to the Provincetown Council on Aging.

"The Council on Aging does so much important work for the Provincetown community. When we heard of their financial problems, we knew that we had to help." commented Kathryn Bode, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Real Life Experience, Inc. The Provincetown Council on Aging provides a wide range of important services to the elderly community of Provincetown, such as medical equipment loans, fuel assistance, transportation of the elderly for medical appointments, an emergency food pantry and a meals-on-wheels program.

Each year, Fantasia Fair chooses a local Provincetown organization and raises money to help them. One source of funds comes from the profits from the advertising sales of the conference's Program Guide. Another is the "Fantasia Fair Follies" - an annual talent show put on by the participant's of the conference - which is used as a fund-raising event. "All the tips that the performers get are gladly donated." said Holly Boswell, the Director of the show. "It is just one small way for us to say 'Thank You' to Provincetown for making us feel welcome each year."

At the annual Fantasia Fair Awards banquet, a check for $3,500 was presented to Diana Fabbri, from the Provincetown Council on Aging.

In earlier years, Fantasia Fair made contributions to local soup kitchen, the town library, and helped buy the fire department a defibrillator.
