Daytime Activities
Fantasia Fair under the Sun

Go learn something! Daytime at the Fair offers an amazing number of options and opportunities. Every day there are usually three workshops and seminars offered in the morning, three in the afternoon. and a key note speaker after lunch every day. In recent years, fairgoers have learned about such diverse topics as "developing a feminine voice," burlesque dancing, the effects of hormones, hair and wig care, and political activitism. Also there have been special daytime events such as art exhibits, "high tea", and poetry jams. The possibilities for leaning about yourself, what you do, why you do it, and how to do it better, are limitless.

Well-known people in our community, and people who just have something to say, are there to talk with you, learn together, and share. They are as interested in what you have to say as you are in hearing them. If you want more details about the daytime speaker programs, it’s readily available right here.

There are many other possibilities at Fantasia Fair if you are not attending a workshop, or if you feel like a change. First of all, there’s the simple pleasure of exploring P'town itself. It’s a very old fishing town that is one of the oldest continuous residencies in the US. In fact, it’s Provincetown where the Pilgrims first landed, and not Plymouth rock, and that’s a historical fact. You can stroll anywhere and find laneways and alleys that are full of art galleries and quaint boutiques. And, gals, there’s shopping. You will be arriving in Provincetown at the end of the season, and everything is on sale. There are stores that sell beautiful women’s clothing, objects d’art, books, women’s clothing, music, jewelry, shoes, women’s clothing. T and sweat shirts, and did we mentions women’s clothing? And it’s all at outrageous end of season prices.

Get yourself a nice set of acryllic nails! The bicycling in the area is some of the finest in the world. Largely flat, there are roads and trails that will take you to the magnificent beaches and dunes that border the ocean. If they haven’t closed for the season, and you’re not the pedal yourself type, there are dunes tours that go out of town. If they have stopped, consider sharing a cab with a couple of girls, and asking for a tour.

You can also go and sightseeing on your own time. There are tours of the fabulous dunes and beaches, or you can just stroll down Commercial Street and spend hours popping in and out of the many wonderful art galleries. Since P'town is an artist’s hideaway, you will seem amazing work at “young” prices.

Check out whales on a whale watch One of the famous activities in P'town in the Whale Watch. Just buy a ticket, and hop on a boat that will track those magnificent creatures. If you want to do this, don’t delay, we really are at the end of the season, and there’s no knowing when the trips will stop. And, yes, you can happily do it en femme.

There’s more. You can climb the Provincetown Tower and visit the museum at its base. Do a gallery tour; since P'town is a famous artists’ colony, you’ll see lots of fascinating and avant garde art. The simple fact is that at Fantasia Fair you are not limited to a hotel; you have access to a wonderful and fascinating town.

Of course, you might just want to get a massage, have your hair done, or get your nails done. In P'town, you can do anything you want to. Yes, you are welcome to go into a salon, get your nails done, or have a makeover

The truth is, there’s so much to do we can’t list it here. Just do an Internet search on "Provincetown", and you’ll be flooded with suggestions.

And we haven’t even mentioned the nightlife!
