Advice
A few words of wisdom...
Some have described their first year at Fan Fair as akin to boot
camp for TGs, others, as the high point of their transgender journey. The learning and camaraderie are extraordinary. For those
who return year after year, it is like being part of a large family. Newcomers are welcomed and made to feel a real part of
this extended family. You will be assisted in finding your way, making friends, and, most importantly, in accepting yourself as
gender diverse, and not gender perverse. At Fantasia Fair, you are not alone, for there are sincere, caring and knowledgeable
people to help you reach inner peace and understanding. If you have questions, there are answers at Fantasia Fair.
Although this entire website gives you a great deal of information about the Fair, this page offers thoughts, advice, and
suggestions from the people who have attended the Fair. The "Basic Survival Info" gives you some practical advice on everything from
packing to partying. If you are a first timer, be sure to look at "The Fantasia Fair Beginner’s Guide", written by a 2003 first-timer
named Allana. There’s also a collection of Letters & Diaries written by Fair attendees.
